This item is 100% all original with no restoration of any kind. If you view the close-up photo you will see that porcelain chipping is minimal, and limited to edges and the top left mounting slot. There are also surface scratches. Over 90% of the original porcelain remains.

However, the color of this plate is not a deep rich black but instead has areas which are a grainy brown. This looks like a poor quality manufacturing.

The surface of the plate is nice and smooth, and it does have moderate gloss. It also lays mostly flat with no bends or warp. Overall, a nice old tag for the money. Please note that I have not attempted to clean this item.
