Welcome To Trader-Bobs sales. Allow me to introduce myself. I am a professional seller. I have been involved in retail sales for over 40 years, the largest portion, of these years, having been my own succesfull retail auto sales / parts / repair business, which I started from scratch. I take your satifaction, AS A BUYER, VERY SERIOUSLY! If there is any problem with this item you have purchased from me, I want to hear about it FIRST, before response is left! So that the problem can be MUSIC offers a Soprona Ukulele, the label inside states; \"Gordon Cypherd, Ukuleles, Pomona California, August 1916\" Looks to have a maple neck, and mahogany body. 12 frets, end where the neck meets the body. Unusual headstock shape. Tapered violin style tuners. The neck width, where it meets the body is, 2-1/8\", nut width, 1-3/8\". Overall length, 20-1/2\". scale length 13-1/4\". Has had some repairs. I believe this was originally built without any kerfing on the inside. I say this because it looks like someone added kerfing, (installed backwards), and a brace, (the size of a 2x4) across the back. Why the brace was installed I do not know, the back was not cracked. The front has a repaired crack, from the bottom, along the right end of the bridge, and up to the soundhole, no bracing, or cleating inside. There is also a repaired crack, from the soundhole heading toward the neck block, no bracing or cleating. The back has some seam separation, near the enb block, see the last picture. The bridge has been reglued also. This is a solid uke, and even with it\'s problems, is a fairly easy restore, (100 years old). Take the back off, and start over. I thought about it, but have way too many projects already, this would be way back in line. The end one case, period for the time, is what it came to me in. I believe it to be the original. The leather handle has rotted away, as has the closing strap around the end. There is \"Valpariaso Indiana\" written in ink on the case. The case is very solid. No info online of the uke maker, anyone in Pomona ever heard of this guy?
