This is a vintage estate found watch that dates back to WWI.The watch is a man’s Elgin, 12 size, stem wind and set, hunter model, 15jewels, serial #20012382 (Circa 1917). The watch runs, but sometimes stops. Soassume it will need cleaning or servicing before it will be reliable. Theporcelain dial carries the name of the famous Chicago jeweler “C. D. PEACOCK”.The dial has a couple of fine hairlines. Blued steel hands. The high quality goldfilled case is made by Wadsworth, 20 year quality. The case has engine turneddesigns and chased designs on both lids. No dents or brassing on either lid,this is a very nice case. The hinges are good. The lock spring is good, but thelift spring needs replacing. A very elegant timepiece. Buyer pays shipping, $5in USA. Thank you.
