Vintage Art Deco JEMCOHandbag / PurseYou\'re offerding on a great looking1918 JEMCO Art Deco hand-tooled leather purse, made by the J.E. Mergott Company of New York.The purse has stamped patent dates of October 5, 1915 - May 15, 1917, and July 23, 1918, on the inside of the metal frame. The Turnloc latch works perfectly and the frame closes evenly. JEMCO is marked on the inside of the frame.The purse measures approx.7\"across the widest part and is about8\"to the top of the latch. The leather strap is approximately 14\" long and has one broken stitch.The bag is in good condition with what appears to be some age related patina and minor scratches on the exterior.There are two slip pockets on the inside of the green suede interior, with \"Amity\" printed in faded gold on one.The suede itself is in great condition-no tears- but there are some ballpoint ink stains under the side fold.All in all a fun vintage bag to add to your collection!
