A lovely, all original doll from the English firm Chad Valley. Dates to 1917-1923. The more expensive dolls came with removable clothes and glass eyes as this little girl has. She is a beautiful example of Chad Valley. Her face is brightly painted, eyes are glass and a beautiful blue. Blushed cheeks, lovely blonde curly mohair wig. She even has her original cotton panties and she is properly tagged underneath. Her velvet outfit has a removable jacket, which has been sewn on somewhere along the line. On top of her pretty blonde curls, she sports a pretty matching hat that is trimmed with white felt. , The jacket has 3 mother of pearl buttons. Really cute. Her only flaw is a split seam on her left arm hole, which can be easily fixed. She is listed in the book \"Cloth Dolls From Ancient to Modern\" by Linda Edward. Page 83. Approximately 13 inches tall, she is almost 14 inches with hat. No doll stand included.
