Hereis an antique waffle iron by Universal, Landers Frary & Clark, made in New Britain, Conn., serial number F7324, patent dates stamped on the bottom of the machine are 1923 and 1924(see photo #9). The condition of this iron is good, especially considering how old it is. Both the top and the bottom plates heat up nicely. There is typical residue on both plates. The chrome has light surface rust in places, I tried to show this in photo #10 but the reflection of the chrome makes it hard to see. I believe the cord is original, it has had a repair to the plug but it looks solid(see photo #12). There are no dents on the machine, just some minor scratches and typical aging, overall it looks nice in my opinion. Makes a four section round waffle that is about 7\" in diameter. Unit measures about 9.5\" in diameter at the base x 6.5\" high, weight not including the cord is 4.92 pounds. As I mentioned, both plates heat up nicely--however, I did not actually make waffles so I cannot say that it has been fully tested.
