Offered here is a gilt silver and multicolor enamel retractable pencil in the form of an Egyptian sarcophagus with a silver ring on the top, possibly made for wear on a watch chain. It measures approximately 1 1/2\" long when closed. It opens by pulling out the feet of the figure and the pencil draws out. The original lead is still present. The ring has silver hallmarks. One looks like a seated bird, which may be French in origin. The piece is in need of a polish, but the mechanism is in fine working order. Offered with no hidden reserve and a low starting offer.
