1920\'s Ladies 14K SOLID ELGIN WATCH WITH A MATCHINGSAPPHIRE FILIGREE BAND.
Movement: Well made ELGIN MADE IN THE USA manual wind movement.
This is a fine classicMOVEMENT is running well. I had to shake the watch one time to get it ticking. For optimal performance it needs to be serviced.
The movement is keeping good time.
Case, Crystal & Crown: Original and signed Illinois Watch Co. Elgin. 14K solid white gold case in in excellent shape with no wear. Decorated with at Art Deco style of swirl hand engraved cuts around the bezel and sides of the watch. Crystal appears to be original andis almost scratch free.
Dial &Hands: 100% Original and the gorgous sterlingsilverdialwith black crisp numberscomes with its original set of hands.
Tip for collectors:
Despite popular demand for refinished clean dials, I am aware of collectors\' search and sensitivity for original dials. Therefore any dials known to be refinished, will be clearly mentioned in the dial section of the description. Otherwise, dial is believed to be 100% original. Size: Measures30 mm side to side (excluding crown) and 30 mm lug to lug.
Band: Band attached is in excellent condition with a clasp. It has 2 synthetic sapphires on the attaching links. All links retract. I have not had it inspected by a jeweler so when I say excellent condition, I mean it looks good for its age. Band and watch with the clasp closed measure 7\" and stretches to 8\". For the best fit, its advised to not wear it stretched to the max because of comfort reasons. These bands pinch.
