Offered for sale is an extremely rare 1920s BING Boston Store Delivery Van Toy. Measures around 7.5 inches long. 100% original toy, with tin wheels, driver, steering wheel, and two tin back doors with a wire door lock. Great detail on the Vehicle and Advertising lithography all around it. Both sides read \'BOSTON STORE 195 - State, Madison and Dearborn Sts.\' along with the \'BW GERMANY\' (Bing Werke) Toy Company symbol. The front hood is labeled \'DIAMOND T\' and a front license plate \'Chicago 1922 - Vehicle Tax Light Delivery 16912.\' The roof is stenciled \'Our Wagon at your Neighbor\'s Door means the Package being delivered is paid for.\' Bing manufactured this toy for the American market only a short time in the 1920\'s, and few are known to exist today.
Condition:
Guaranteed 100% original and overall very good condition. Some light general playwear, mostly along the edges of the vehicle. Great detail and advertisements on the litho. The clockwork windup mechanism is located inside of the delivery van. The windup key is no longer around, but I used an extra key and the mechanism is complete and working. High quality as expected from this early German Toy manufacturer, similar to Gunthermann , Karl Bub , Lehmann , Tipp , etc. A great addition to your Toy collection. See all the photos below.
