WOW! I\'ve unpacked another of these fabulous and fun Jacquard woven throws, table cloths, piano shawls, even used by some as wall hangings. These iconic textiles are so versatile, there\'s almost an endless list of uses! Nearly a hundred years ago, we all know that the Romantic Revival Period produced a trend that went BEYOND a trend in the 1920\'s to more of a CRAZE! Interestingly, these iconic antique textiles were made in Italy, where Romance had always been rooted. These Italian throws, tablecloths, etc., left the factory with a cloth tag reading, \"made in Italy, stitched to them, Most tags don\'t make it to the the present time but they ARE all made in Italy. Textile lovers know this. The overall design is thoroughly Romantic Revival to the core! The flowers, sweet Roses, and other florals that stir Romance, foliage, trailing ribbons and artistic flourishes are waiting for you to place in your home. There\'s an interesting border that blends geometric design the naturalistic interior of the piece, pleasing to his eye! You\'ll be making a good choice to purchase this. The colors are soothing, use this with either side as the \"right\" side. Colors are couched on a lush Sage Green background. The colors include: Burgundy to rose to pink, cream, black and two shades of green besides the Sage. The fringes are of knotted Sage-colored cotton threads with four fringes braided into a single knot along all four sides. (SEE THE FRINGE IN THE LAST PHOTO.) The design of the applied fringe is a holdover from a Victorian look. (PICTURE THOSE KNOTTED DOORWAY DIVIDERS!) You\'ll see when you review the photographs. On the \"back\" side the color seems to glow PINK! ROSE! BURGUNDY! Many of these Jacquard woven pieces are prettier on the backside. This may be one of those! The two sides are like a photograph and a photographic negative. You\'ll see this feature from the photos, too. MEASUREMENTS: This tablecloth, throw, or, piano scarf is approx 61\" by 59\", nearly Square, a versatile shape and size! It\'s a superb size to use alone or to drape over a solid damask cloth for a larger table cover. The fringe is 6\" long . The center motif is approximately 26\" in diameter. CONDITION: This pretty textile item has had at least one a previous owner but this lovely textile has been well taken care of. There seems to be no evidence of harsh treatment or abuse. It\'s actually the care from the past that\'s created a tablecloth or throw that\'s in great condition today. I\'ve owned this for nearly forty years buying it at a Dallas Antique Show at Fair Park in Dallas, Texas. It\'s been safely stored since. THESE JACQUARD THROWS WERE POPULAR WITH HIPPIES! THEY\'RE COLLECTABLE NOW. There are no flaws here derived from anything but normal use. I don\'t see stains, rips, holes, worn areas, pulls, repairs or any serious flaws to report. The fringe is intact, with the exception of a couple of \"three fringes knotted together\" rather than four. This is not noticeable. For these large Italian woven pieces, this is a \"gem!\" You\'ll find this larger sized version versatile, the ideal size to use in any room. On the table in the dining room, use as a furniture throw in a living area, draped over on a bed or wall decor. This textile is not flimsy or lightweight, it\'s very substantial, it could withstand using it over a chair or a sofa, it will wear well. Please expand and review the photographs to see the details.
