The girls pictured in the print are Ruth “Kitty” Owen, the granddaughter of Williams Jennings Bryan, reclining, and Parrish\'s own daughter Jean, standing. Kitty also posed for Wild Geese (1924) (which i also have listed now on !) both highly sought after prints by Parrish.

Maxfield Parrish (1870-1966) has long been considered one of the greatest American illustrators of the 20th century and lived and worked throughout his career in Cornish Hills, New Hampshire. In the early 1920\'s when his works \"Garden of Allah\" and \"Daybreak\" were reproduced as art prints, he quickly became one of the best known artists in America. His paintings and prints with their unmistakable style, characterized by \'Parrish Blue\' water and skies, luminescent rocks and hills, and exquisite young women were one of the most collected works of art throughout the Art Deco era and are still highly sought after today.The original frame measures 13\" x 20.5\" and the print is 18\" x 10.5\"Condition: The colors are vibrant and the print is invery goodcondition (as much as i can see, i did not remove it from the frame.)
