Up for sale is a rare butterfly auto con-den-so-meter / hood ornament. This is missing the fan shaped part on the bottom.

-The con-den-so-meter was designed to let the top rise and emit a whistling alarm to signal overheating then condense the coolant back into the radiator cap.

-Stamped at the top is: AUTO CON-DEN-SO-METER CORP. CHICAGO PATENTED AUG. 4 25-APR. 27 26 SEPT. 21 This is a universal hood ornament. Please do your own research.

Condition: This is in very good condition, but is missing a piece that is attached at the bottom. Originally there was a round shaped piece with 3 legs that is supposed to be attached underneath, but it is missing. It is nickel plated brass.

This opens with ease and clamps in place firmly. The color is very good for the age, but there are some spots of green paint loss and nickel plate loss revealing some of the brass underneath. ship worldwide.
