100% cotton, in heavy gauge white/ivory 100% color cotton yarn. It measuresapproximately 91 x 71 inches and weighs 1 ½ pounds. It is an attractive patternand crocheted with great expertise by my Great Aunt El from Higginsville, MOwho was born in 1893 and lived there her entire life. I have a trunk full oftablecloths, bedspreads, napkins, pot holders, dish towels etc. made by hernibble fingers. She was a textile artist full time. This was a wedding presentto my grandmother in 1925 and to my knowledge has always been stored since ithas been in my mother’s possession since 1959 when her mother died. It has beenin my possession for the last 35 years and I stored it in a cedar trunk incotton muslin and plastic.

Iphotographed mostly the areas of discoloration and one stain—back and front—thatI can find. Some of the images are of the verso—where the knotting appears. Inow discovered. Although the area around the edge does have some unraveledareas and I have photographed some of them. I understand there are many recipesfor mixing special soap, borax solutions to remove this kind of discoloration. Otherwise,in excellent vintage condition for a 92 year old textile. Sold as is.
