Original 1927 President Coolidge and Mrs. Coolidge three card invitation group requesting Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Walters to come to a reception at the White House. All three components of the invitation are dated February 17, 1927 and they comprise a complete intact set as issued. Rarely is an intact three piece White House invitation group found as when most invitations turn up they are usually found in the form of one piece or a two piece set. The envelope was addressed in ink (in an unknown hand) to: \"Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Walters Care Hon, James L. Parker House of Representatives\". The envelope which has an embossed marking on the back left bottom flap area \"Brewood 611 Twelfth Street Washington, D.C.\" measures 6 inches by 5 13/16 inches. The largest invitation card measures 5 3/4 inches by 4 3/4 inches. The admit east gate wind shield card measures 4 7/16 inches by 3 11/31 inches. The present at east entrance card measures 4 inches by 2 5/8 inches. The three cards show some minor toning from age. Otherwise they are near mint. The envelope shows considerable even age toning, some small brown spots, some tears & chips at top from when the invitation cards were slipped out, & is missing the top back flap.Please examine the photos closely & purchase based on your own judgement as to condition & value.
