vintagebook collection of Old Photos/ photographs from Famous Mansion Historical Residence- PEN-Y-Bryn the estate in Scranton PA of THE WATRES Family - colonel Louis Watres , who was former Pennsylvania Lieutenant Governor, Colonel in the Spanish American WAR, Newspaper Publisher, and politician and entrepreneur, built the home on a 80 acres estate on what is now known as Pen-Y-Bryn drive.The book includes a letter he wrote for book that was to his wife, collection of 24 photographs prints on special paper, with tissue dry mount cover sheets on each, a few have some staining from over time on the mount portion strip of the glue coming thru on the print edging, most are good condition though, have taken photos 10 of the 24, can only list 12 photos, if anybody wants to see to rest can send thru messages additional pics, the photos show various pictures of the time 1880\'s thru 1920\'s of the estate in and out side the home, which before the fire in 1930\'s was know as castle scranton, it was built from stone from a rock quarry owned by the colonel. After the fire of 1937 the houses walls were torn down and sold the stone to contractors. The buyer will pay shipping and handling delivery confirmation/ insured.
