This beautiful art deco lamp features the most famous Queen of Egypt, Cleopatra, wearing nothing but a loin covering as she holds the shade in her outstreched hand. This is an original, not a later J.B. Hirsch reproduction, it is titled \'Cleopatre\', by E. Movier C 1922 marked \"Germany\" The lamp figure is made of spelter with a Bronze finish, the finish is original with age-appropriate ware, it is marked \"Germany\". The base is black marble with hints of brown and white, there are minor chips and scuffs. The shade may be original, it is obviously quite old with hand painted roses, it looks fantastic when lit. The cord is vintage style braided brown cloth with an inline switch and Bakelite plug. There is no damage to this lamp only normal finish wear, the only thing worth noting is that the shade has significant chips to the fitter and fits Loosely on the shade holder. I have added some plastic tubing to help hold it on, this works quite well and is barely noticeable. This lamp is ready to display, sure to be enjoyed for generations to come.
