1930's Prewar **rare** Vintage Gibson L-30 Archtop Acoustic Guitar With Case For Sale
You are offerding on a very old Gibson acoustic guitar. Note the original Gibson logo. This guitar and case comes from an estate of an antique dealer in Portland, OR. Through research I believe this is a Gibson L30 from the 1930's based on the style, logo and hardware. The metal piece that wraps around the bottom reads" PATENTED JULY 19, 1910. All I can tell you about how it plays is it has a nice, deep tone. Other than that I can not tell you how old the strings are, what the condition of the hardware is in or the tuners. I can tell you this about the physical part if the guitar.... It is somewhat warped on the left side where the cut out "f" is. It indents about a 1/2" to 3/4". This also caused the pick guard to become loose but it is still intact. The guard shows wear. The back bottom of the body has three lines through the wood. Not sure what caused that. It looks like a coat of stain was applied to the top of the guitar and was applied to the white trim. The bottom was not stained. One more thing to point out is the right middle tuner knob has some chips. Aside from these flaws mentioned the rest of the guitar is in pretty good shape. The neck is straight. The frets are inlaid with Mother of Pearl, the finish is still vibrant and the strings stay tight. The case is in fair condition. Is made of faux leather crocodile. I ask that you email me any questions you have prior to offerding and I will get you an answer. If you want more pictures I will send them. The guitar and case are sold "as is". Sorry, no refunds. So again, ask questions prior to offerding. Thanks for looking!!I accept PayPal and ask for prompt payment, please. Some additionalinformation:: The case is missing the carrying handle and the latches are quite worn, some broken. It is an old case. Please keep in mind with the warping issue the guitar won't sound perfect. I have had a very experienced guitar playerraised the bridge on the treble side and it stopped the frets from fretting out. Just a buzz ( caused from the warping).
