A c. 1934-1936Sheaffer Balance grey pearl & black fountain pen withnickel-plated trim & a 14k gold nib.
It\'s impossibleto capture in photographs the almost mesmerising effect of thesemi-translucent pearl flakes in the body of the pen which changefrom very dark grey to almost brilliant white in colour when turned around in the hand.
Bearing in mindthe pen is used & around 80 years old, it\'s in very goodcondition with no splits, cracks or any obvious nicks or surfacescratches & only fairly minimal tarnishing of the trim.
Although the penhas no significant faults or issues, please note:-
Whilst the barrel imprint confirms the pen is USA-made, it has a Canadian-made nib & likely to be a replacement for the original.
The screw-fit cap doesn\'t screw on as it should being on the loose side but it will catch & hold securely.
The pen has beengently cleaned, a new sac fitted & with an ink-dip test I foundit writes smoothly with what I consider is a Medium nib.
