Offeringthis fantastic vintage LARGE marine live steam engine for a model boat. It isnearly ready to go for an easy installation. Features a beautiful heavy dutypainted brass single cylinder engine marked A.W. It all looks very British inorigin. The cam is connected to a gear drive. It has a large brass boiler withsteel funnel smoke stack. The large 6” long and 4” diameter boiler has a sightglass, relief valve and a pressure gauge marked STUART. The glass is missingfrom the pressure gauge and it appears the face has rotated. The needle isstill connected and still appears operable. It is wrapped in a sheet asbestosas original; however, I sealed the asbestos sheet with high temperature paintfor safety reasons. The fuel source burner is a compressed air type, where youpump it up with a bicycle pump to create a vapor and torch like heat. The brasssteam lines are complete and connected. I do not see anything compromised.There is a large On/Off valve at the engine and an oil reservoir. There is alsoa line coming from the engine with couple to route the residual water to acontainer or overboard etc. The engine is attached to the board, which measures16” x almost 7” wide. It exhibits minor burn mark. The entire assembly with thesteam line curving out is 19.5”. It weighs around 6 pounds or so.
