I\'m pleased to offer this \"Beautiful & Unique\"VICTORIAN ERA Art Nouveau WALL LIGHT FIXTURE.It measures 6-5/8\" wide X 5-1/2\" front-to-back X 15\" tall, not including the bulb.Circa late 1930s, this CAST SPELTER electric WALL SCONCE features an \"ornate\" ART NOUVEAU design.Broad sweeping\"French Curves\"dominate the casting along with \"leafy\" scroll and scallop designs.The \"single\" CURVED ARM supports a WHITEfaux CANDLE BODY that houses a\"standard size\" LIGHT BULB RECEPTACLE (see images).What is UNIQUE isthat the hollow metalSCONCE BODYis designed to hang\"directly over\" a wall outlet.A recess in the backside accommodates the 6\" long power wire and plug (see image). With no switch on the fixture itself, it was designed to be turned ON & OFF by means of a ROOM WALL SWITCH.Barely descernible embossed lettering on the backside reads 9340 / L & L.\"Loevsky & Loevsky\" of Carlstadt, N.J. operated from 1937-1970, primarily manufacturing lamps & lamp parts. Remarkably, this \"early\" L&L Wall Light is COMPLETE.., and everything works as it should. Although functional as-is, the wiring is \"ancient\" and should be examined by an electrician before use.(NOTE: bulbs are NOT INCLUDED with the fixture). CLEAN & STURDY, there are NO CHIPS, CRACKS, DINGS or REPAIRS in the SCONCE BODY. A mild \"patina\" is commensurate with age.This \"Antique\" FRENCH NOUVEAU Electric WALL SCONCEis in overall, VERY GOOD CONDITION!
