This is an exceptional and high-quality vintage pair of earrings dating to approximately the 1930’s, consisting of glass Hubbell Trading Post style cabochons, and heavy stamped silver with ornate gallery wire bezels. The clips are nice and strong, snap into place, aren’t wobbly or loose. This type of faux turquoise was typically made in Czechoslovakia and Venice. The earrings aren’t marked, but they have the look of sterling silver, I see nothing like brass or copper showing through from below. They measure a bit over 1” each, they show wear for their age, but the toning of the metal is attractive, and they are in great condition. The collection that this came out of was an elderly woman who had traveled extensively, and spent a lot of money on jewelry as she went, a lot of very large runway type pieces, couture, ethnographic, I will be listing many other pieces from her collection in the coming two weeks.
