1930s Vtg Cambridge Glass Nude Girl 11\" Flower Frog Sculpture Bashful Charlotte:
$125.00

You\'re offerding on a beautiful, Art Deco period piece of sculptural art glass - a clear glass, nice nude female figural atop a flower frog base - there is some hard-to-discern patent number info pressed into the base up inside the bottom, but it is a known piece manufactured by Cambridge Glass in the 1930s. Often referred to as \"Bashful Charlotte\", the piece is actually inspired by the famous 1911 painting by Paul Emile Chabas, \"September Morn\", which seems to depict a young woman, standing in the water, modestly trying to cover herself.
Originally manufactured in two sizes, this is the larger 11\" example - pedestal is 4 1/2\" diameter with 12 openings for flower buds. Very nice condition, clean with no chips or cracks. Please review photos carefully to make your own deteremination of overall condition and appeal, and don\'t hesitate to ask any questions prior to offerding - thanks for looking!
