Visit My store...Die Lustigen Weiber von Wien (1931) ~This card #139 from the Josetti Filmbilder cigarette card series. It is a vintage 1930s original. The edges show minor wear but it is still a nice example: VF. The card is about the same size as a British or American cigarette card (over 1½"x2¼"). Click on my scan to greatly enlarge the image (opens a new browser window). This is card number 139 from the Josetti Filmbilder (Film Pictures) series issued in Germany in about 1931. It features two of the major stars of Weimar cinema, Willie Forst and Lee Parry (or Lee Perry). Forst thrived under the Nazi film industry making many films but refused to appear in the horrible propaganda film Jud Süß or Jew Seuss (1940). Parry had a promising career that seemed to fizzle once the Nazi\'s came to power. The only film Forst and Parry made together was 1931\'s Die Lustigen Weiber von Wien. It must be the topic of this card. See below for an extensive list of their films.

Condition (See Description!)Most International Transactions Welcome!Shipping & Handling Charges Subject to Change Based on Postal Rates!I Accept Most Types of Electronic PaymentsUnless otherwise stated, this lot consists of a genuine German cigarette premium issued between about 1930 and 1937. German cigarette cards and premiums make an interesting and inexpensive addition to any collection. The Nazi government of Germany opposed smoking and eventually put an end to cigarette cards. As a result, the native German card collecting hobby never developed to the extent of that in Britain or the United States. Most German premiums and cards cost only a fraction of what might be expected from their American and British cousins.Large photos are shown smaller than actual size while small ones are generally enlarged to as much as four times their original size. Almost all photos and cards are scanned through protective sleeves or pages which tends to cut the clarity a bit. Enlarged defects tend to look worse than they actually are and the enlargement tends to show every bit of dust on the protective holders. Minimum postage (for a small card) is just $2.00 for standard shipping in a StayFlattm mailer. Feel free to accumulate many lots for reduced postage. 5"x7" photos require additional postage. US Shipping: $2.00
