1938 New Rochelle, New York 250th Anniversary Silver Commemorative Half Dollar, certified for grade and authenticity by PCGS as Mint State 66 with hints of light golden toning.....issued to observe the founding of New Rochelle by French Huguenots in 1688. The obverse shows a fattened calf to be given away every June 20th, with the figure of John Pell and on the reverse a fleur-de-lis adapted from the seal of the city. These commemoratives are always popular with collectors!
