Up for sale is a 1941 1942 1946 1947 1948 NOS Chrysler Dodge DeSoto Hood or Trunk Lock Mechanism OEM part # 905867 RARE

This is an unusual lock mechanism, it looks like a trunk locking mech. but is similar to the \"butterfly\" hood locking mechanism on some but not all late 1930\'s and early 1940\'s Chrysler Dodge and DeSoto vehicles.

Measures 5\" long and 4 1/2\" tall and has a spring loaded pivoting (claw) jaw on a ratcheting \"arc\".

I have seen this style on some hood opening locking mechanisms. You be the judge!!!!

Its rare that I list an item that I can not confirm exact application for.

NOS, unused, taken out of packaging for the photos, fits some but not all years or models. Has only minor surface oxidization in a couple of areas from shelf storage, please refer to the detailed photos for condition.
