Up for sale is a1940 New York World\'s Fair souvenir plate designed by Charles Murphy for Home Laughlin . 10 inches in diameter . Overall nice condition . Has what look like small dings from the manufacturing process on the back . There is glaze in them . I am not familiar with these plates , perhaps they all have it . Anyway , I wanted to point it out and tried to show in the photos . The front has a scratch in the 4 and a white fit on the purple by the way in world . There are a couple of darker purple lines below the 9 and heading left . Again , looks like manufacturing flaws . Three white marks on left side , possibly from a plate hanger ? With all that said , it is still a pretty cool piece . Sold as is .
