This bit was purchased in San Francisco during the late 1940\'s. The nickel silver is engraved on the cheekpieces and slobber bar. The conchos appear to be engraved with a flower design. The length of the bit from the tip of the headstall ring to the rein chain hangers is 8 1/2 inches. The bit has the classic S design. The bit is stiff jawed with an 5 inch mouth bar. The port is 1 7/8 inches in length and crick appears to be bronze.There appears to have been some reinforcement around the base of the port. The bit it self is in very good condition but there is some stains on the bit. The amount of rust is negligible.
