Vintage Gents 1940\'sLONGINES WITTNAUER Watch and BoxHereis another of my watches, this time from Longines Wittnauer Watch Company. The watch is in goodcondition and is still fully working and keeping good time. This watch is signed by Wittnaueron the case, dial and movement. This watch has distinct looks, which is what drew it into my collection, with unique scroll lugs and a waffle textured dial. I was told this model was named \"Arnold\" by Wittnauer. This watch also has it\'s priceless, original box!The original, Wittnauer signed casehas a long classiccurvexstylethathassmooth bevelled sides and ends which are also arched. On each corner are the sweeping scroll lugs which are raised. The caseis 10kt gold fill and in nice condition with just rubpoints to the lug edges. The back is also fully curved for comfort. It isfully signed by Wittnauer on the inside along with other case details. The case measures approximately 38mm x 24mm including thelugs.The Wittnauer signeddial is againinnicecondition and is original. It is a white tone with a light vintage hue. It has a black outer minute trackand a mix of raised gold numbers and pointed batonsat the hour positions.It hasa deep set sub second dial in the 6 position with its own black markings. The dial is signedby Wittnauerjust belowthe 12 and Swiss at the very bottom. it shows up very nicely indeed. The crystal is also inexcellent condition.The watch is running on the original Wittnauer17j movement which is manual wind, fully working and keeping good time.The band is a matching, vintage10k gold filled expandable typewhich fits most wrist sizes.The original box is also a part of this sale. the pictures should show you how nice this is. It does have some age but looks great. The inlaid gold textured design and the lining inside with details about Longines Wittnauer are a rare thing to find.
