1940\'s Vega Profundo
This is a 1940s Vega Profundo dreadnought. Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides. Brazilian rosewood fretboard and bridge. Some discoloration of the finish. Usual dings and dents; as shown in pics. Neck size is a solid \"C\" shape; not too big, not too small for my hand but I like larger necks (I\'m 6\'1\" to give you some gauge.) Sound is unique; very crisp and woody with little mid-range when strummed but it really comes alive when finger-picked. I\'d say this is this guitar\'s strong point. Very unique sound.
Nut width is a hair smaller than 1-11/16\". Solid frets. No case.
Guitar was gone over by Phil D\'angelo (Check out dangeloguitars dot com). He took a slight belly out of the guitar, secured the bridge and full set-up, resulting in a wonderfully low and playable action. Otherwise the guitar is as I bought it (about 2 months ago.)
Guitar has great \"mojo\" if you\'re into that sort of thing like I am. Guitar has not been cleaned and shows signs of age including nicotine staining on body and binding and great overall patina. Finish checking and discoloration as shown. Solid straight neck.
