UP FOR sale IS A PAIR OF VERY COOL ART DECO 1940s 1950s MID CENTURY MODERN BRASS CAT ANDIRONS. THESE MODERNIST CAT ANDIRONS ARE MADE OF SOLID BRASS, NOT BRASS PLATED, ALMOST TWENTY INCHES IN HEIGHT. THEY ARE IN GREAT CONDITION FOR THEY’RE AGE WITH A WONDERFUL PATINA.. PLEASE LOOK AT THE PICTURES. THEY COULD BE POLISHED UP TO LOOK BRAND NEW, I PREFER THE PATINA, BUT THAT’S UP TO THE WINNING buyer. I HAVE SEEN THEM LISTED AT PRIOR sales AS BEING MANUFACTURED BY A TENNESSEE CHROME PLATING COMPANY BACK IN THE 1940s BUT I CAN NOT CONFIRM THAT. REGARDLESS THEY ARE SUPER COOL AND WOULD LOOK GREAT WITH JUST ABOUT ANY DECOR WHETHER IT BE ART DECO, HOLLYWOOD REGENCY, STREAMLINE MODERN OR MID CENTURY MODERN EAMES ERA. THEY JUST DON’T MAKE THEM LIKE THESE ANYMORE. PLEASE LOOK AT THE PICTURES.They could use a cleaning and/or polishing.Everyones taste differ so we don`t clean or change items such as these,leaving it up to your preference.
