1940s Era Vintage Westclox Andover Blue Glass Art Deco Electric Shelf Clock:

Westclox made these beautiful blueglass and chrome Art Deco shelf clocks from 1938 to 1942. Like manyelectrics of the time, if the power fails, you have to “spin” asmall knob on the back of the clock to get it restarted.

I bought this clock at a flea marketabout 20 years ago, and it has been sitting on a display shelf in myoffice ever since. I didn\'t even bother to plug it in during thoseyears.

Before I created this listing, Iplugged the clock in, started it up, and allowed it to run for 30minutes or so. The clock runs and appears to keep time. However, asusual, I make no warranty as to the running condition. All I can sayis “it ran when I plugged it in.”

The clock displays well. If you lookclosely at the pictures, you will see that there is a very small chipin the blue glass face, next to the dial, between the 6 and 7. Ihave no idea how that could have happened during normal use, so I\'mthinking it may have come from the factory with that chip. There isalso a little paint loss on the hands, and a little paint flaw on thedial above the 11. The cord is in good shape, but I don\'t think thecord is original.
