I recently discovered a mislabeled moving container while organizing my storage unit. In it are about 25 vintage Hawaiian shirts from the 1940-60s and several 1960-70s hippie clothing items, all of which I will be listing. This is a 1940s vintage rayon Poi Pounder Tog surfer design Hawaiian shirt size M. It ingood condition with some small holeson both sleeves andtwo 1.5\" narrow holes on the back of the left sleeve. It measures armpit to armpit 22\", neck to bottom 28\", sleeve 9\"marked size M and fits like a man\'s size 40. This is THE shirt used on page 83 of the book Hawaiian Shirts: Dress Right for Paradise by Nancy Schiffer who usedseveral dozenof my shirts for her book and it was also exhibited at the American Textile History Museum in 2004. There are cocoanut shell buttons, neck buttonloop, selvage and pointed collars, all shirts will be shipped rolled or folded in a padded mailing envelope.
