First edition, first printing in original first-state dust-jacket
- First edition, first state with required points. 8vo octavo. 1942 to copyright with no other dates. No printer noted on copyright page. Large period between \"talk\" and \"this\" line 11 p. 112 (see photo), all required first state points. Original unclipped dust-jacket showing price $2.00 with Sea of Cortez on front flap and Upton Sinclair\'s works highlighted on rear inner flap. Original jacket in excellent, very good to about fine condition with some wear along the folds, edges and corners and a few tiny chips along edges but otherwise complete and bright with light toning to rear panel and one or two small abrasions to front panel. Original blue cloth in fine condition, silver spine titles bright. Tight binding, hinges strong and untorn. Original endpapers lightly toned, clean with no writing or bookplates. Textblock fine, pages lightly toned but generally clean and bright. Possibly one or two light marks but generally fine internally. An excellent copy of the true first SHIP WORLDWIDE!
