A.P.O. 922 indicates that at this time this writer is located in Townsville, Australia --- 536 stamped at upper left ---partially indistinct Examined by... Censor U. S. No. 8 Army double circle censor\'s stamp at upper left

Letter is dated December 24, 1942, and begins, Miss Ethel L. Newton, Chairman, Cheer Committee, The Travelers Club --- the writer says, \"Censor regulations do not permit the acknowledgement of receipt of cigarettes by card.\" --- he continues, \"It goes without saying that I am very pleased and thank you and the Cheer Committee and the Travelers Club.\"

He relates, \"The good cheer from our friends at home is greatly appreciated by everyone.\" --- he adds, \"May I also thank you for the nice Christmas gifts which I assume also came from the Travelers Clubs.\" --- he closes, \"Here\'s hoping that our next Xmas may be closer to home and friends.\" --- signed, Guy B.
