Game was played atthe Tulane\'s Sugar Bowl Stadium in New Orleans, LA. The front cover was drawn by the famous New Orleans cartoonist JOHN CHASE ; it pictures United States SOLDIER listing to the broadcast of the game on a transistor radio ( while sitting on ADOLPH HITLER & kicking the JAPANESE EMPEROR. !!!

Some of the outstanding coaches & players in this year\'s game included FRANK THOMAS ( Alabama head coach ) & HARRY GILMER.
