Up for sale is an excellent condition Wright & McGill split bamboo fishing fly rod/pole with tube and case the tube has a small dent in it which is shown and the handle a little piece of cork is off which is also shown. I don\'t no anything about these fishing poles but what is stamped in the metal below the cork handle is \"Pat Apr. 12 1938 Pat. No. 2114.107 Made by Wright & McGill Rod Co. Denver, Colo USA. I was told it has been refinished and it was probably made around 1946-1948. It has 4 pieces 1 extra tip which is a little bit shorter than the other they said it is a little shorter because it was probably broken. but it has been beautifully restored. But I don\'t no what model it is because there is no markings on it except below the handle. There is absolutely no flaws in it except what was noted looks like it was just bought from the store.

On Aug-04-15 at 06:20:38 PDT, seller added the following information:

With each section having originally been 38 1/2\", this was a 9 1/2\' rod. I believe that it is a model 9660 (as they only made the 9 1/2 foot rods in one configuration ?). these are stout rods made for bigger fish like steelhead.
Wright-McGill/Granger made about 5-6 \"grades\" of rods, each in the same models (8040, 8642, 9050,9660). This rod is most likely the bottom grade, which was a \"Champion\" (later changed to a \"Stream & lake\"). The Champion models had fewer guides and bright red wraps. They did NOT have the fancy, trimmed guide wraps that this rod currently exhibits, so the rod has been re-wrapped.
