This is a 1948 Olds Super Trombone, It is a Los angeles made Horn. I\'m not sure if the Bell is Rose Brass or not It may be that the original Laquer has just darkened to look that way. The Slide has the fluted tubing and is in great shape no dents or dings in the end, The serial number on the brace is the last three numbers of the serial number on the receiver which matches the number on the original warranty card which is included as well as the original slide break in instructions. I have the key and the LYRE and what I believe is the original olds3 mouthpiece. The slide looks great as far as almost no wear, the nickel finish on the outer tube does have laquer pitting and nickel pitting , The tubing from the brace to the bell has a lot of laquer missing and Pitting in the brass, The Bell looks good both inside and out with only a little pitting, The serial number is 317xx Case is I believe original Lifton with olds on the outside, some wear on the corners in the vinyl. Slide has the smallest bit of drag when you get it way out. Spit key has just been recorked. A great horn for the serious trombone player I am experienced at shipping quality instruments and will pack the horn tightly in the case and the case tightly in the box
