SuperPre - Vietnam Korean War Zippo lighter. This was acquired from the pilot who carried it on over 100 combat missions while flying his F-86F. 1st Lt. Clyde Richard Gilbert bought this zippo in the early c1950 and carried throughout the war. He was credited with shooting down a MIG. It has remained in his possession until recently. The lighter is decorated on both sides. The first side shows his aircraft and his pilot wings. The other side reads 1st Lt. C.R. Gilbert of the 39th FTR. Intcp. Sqdn, 51st F.I.W. (39th Fighter, Interceptor Squadron, 51st Fighter Wing.Date Code on this zippo(2032695)references to: c. 1937 - 1950.
