London-born John Peet, 34, Berlin Bureau Chief of the British Reuters New Agency, gives a recorded interview to Ed Haaker of the American NBC Network, on the 1st day of his new job as a \"Journalist\" in the Office of Gerhard Eisler, East German Propaganda Chief. Peet asked for and received Asylum in East Germany saying he could no longer serve the \"Western Warmongers.\" Photo measures 6 x 8inches. Photo is dated 6-15-1950.
