I\'m selling a nice tin friction Mercedes Circus car with a clown robot driver made by ATC (Asahi) of Japan. The car measures 8 1/4 inches or 21 centimeters long and it is complete and original. The car is in very good, played with condition. The surface of the tin has a nice gloss and the litho and graphics are in really nice shape. The car has been played with, there are some scratches and scrapes as well as a couple of small dings. The chrome trim is nice but it has some areas where it has darkened. The base and tires are in very good condition and the friction motor works well. The hubcaps look like they have been touched up a little, the same with the robot clown. The car body and interior is completely original. It all fits together really nicely. This car also has a driver that pops out of his seat. When the metal loop on the front grill is pressed. it pops the driver up and out of his seat. The mechanism works very well. The car is not perfect by any means but it is a nice tin friction Mercedes car. Asahi made a number of toys using the Mercedes and the robot driver. This car has the least obvious connection with space toys but it usually thought of as a space toy. It is included in the great website Alphadrome which is good enough for me. This is a nice example of a great tin friction car. Thanks for looking!!!
