Here is a lovely brush / vanity set in its original case.
Each piece is made of solid Sterling silver and guilloche enamel with beautiful hand painted sweet pea flowers within the enamel.
There are 2 hair brushes, 2 clothes brushes, a mirror and a silver mounted comb.
The sweat pea flowers have been hand painted so well and captured within the bright backing of the guilloche silver under the enamel.
Each piece is fully hallmarked for Birmingham with the makers mark HCD for Henry Clifford Davis. The date letters vary, from 1953 to 1957.
Made in England.
The mirror measures approx 10. 3/4 inches in length.
The case is wood with cream and black interior.
Overall a very nice set with only a couple of things to mention about condition. One of the hair brushes has enamel damage, (see pics)....right where the thin handle joins the wider part.... its cracked and chipped off here..lucky it does not detract from the Sweet Pea flower.
The mirror has a small flake chip of enamel missing, all the other pieces are good, with minimal age and use wear to exterior, just some tarnishing to the silver.
The comb has some broken teeth.
The case has one clasp broken off but it\'s inside, just needs fixing onto the outer fitting.
There is a smell of perfume when you open the box.

Its a really beautiful set and an investment item ... to put away ..worth more than your money in the bank for sure.
