Description
You are looking at a Grundig Majestic 1099 US Tube Radio. This radio was owned by the same person since it was new. The original box is included and shows this radio came out of the Chicago, Illinois area. The radio features FM, shortwave, broadcast and PU. There are controls for bass and treble along the bottom. There are also 3 tone controls: Voice, Orchestra and Jazz. There are six vacuum tubes: EM84, ECC85, ECH81, EF89, EABC80, and EL84. All of the tube, except the EL84, have piece of tape that secures them to their sockets. The EM84, ECC85 and EL84 tubes are Telefunken brand. The ECH81 appears to be a Siemens.
Condition Report
This is a beautiful survivor. The radio was tested and found to be in good working condition. The cabinet is really nice for the age. There are a couple light scuffs but they don\'t go through the finish. One of the plastic speaker grills has a white scuff.
