1953 Buick Skylark Japanese Tin Car By Sankei Gangu Kogyo Nr:
Another big and beautiful Japanese tin car with the original box by Sankei. This gorgeous 1953 Buick Skylark 4 door hardtop measures 11" long (27.94 cm) by 4.25” tall (10.79 cm) and 5" wide (12.7 cm). It is unusual to find these older early 1950’s cars in the original box and in such outstanding condition. The Buick features outstanding tin trim including portholes, side trim, hood and trunk ornament and a super grill and headlamps. The beautifully lithographed green interior is very nice and compliments the brilliant red and black color. The paint on this car looks wonderful in the photos, and in person, however the red paint is slightly mottled, it just doesn’t show in the photos. It really doesn’t detract from the beauty of the car. All of the tin trim shines and is in very nice condition. The rubber tires are very nice and the tin litho hubcaps are exceptional. The original box is excellent and very crisp, however it does have a piece of stiff cardboard reinforcing one end. Its not visible, it just keeps the box in good condition where it was punched out in the past. The friction works, as it should. I’m happy to combine shipping where feasible.
