This is a Swiss reel made for Simpson Sears of Canada by the Salmo Company. This reel is a primitive model with no anti reverse and an exposed bail spring. Salmo made several different models of reels with the exposed bail spring such as the Sport King Model 40, the Salmo reel which was the same as the model 40 and the Salmo Sport. This is the rarest of all Salmo reels and hardly seen on or other sale sites.
