Դերենիկ Վարդումյան (փետրվարի 1, 1923, Վահագնի - սեպտեմբերի 12, 2005, Երևան), պատմաբան, կովկասագետ, պատմական գիտությունների թեկնածու, պրոֆեսոր։
Դերենիկ Սուրենի Վարդումյանը ծնվել է 1923 թվականին Լոռու մարզի Վահագնի գյուղում։ Միջնակարգ դպրոցն ավարտելուց հետո 1940 թվականին ընդունվել է Երևանի Պետական համալսարանի բանասիրական ֆակուլտետը։ Ավարտելուց հետո աշխատել է «Ավանգարդ» թերթի խմբագրությունում որպես բաժնի վարիչ, 1946 թվականին եղել է արտասահմանի հետ մշակութային կապերի հայկական ընկերության ավագ ռեֆերենտը։ Նույն թվականին ընդունվել է ազգագրության գծով ՀԽՍՀ ԳԱ ասպիրանտուրա։
1949-1953 թվականներին Դերենիկ Վարդումյանը եղել Հայաստանի պատմության պետական թանգարանի ավագ գիտաշխատող։ 1953 թվականից տեղափոխվել է ԳԱ Պատմության ինստիտուտի ազգագրության խումբ՝ դառնալով այդ խմբի ղեկավար և պաշտպանել թեկնածուական ատենախոսություն «Լոռեցիների նոր կենցաղը» վերնագրով։
1959 թվականին ԳԱ համակարգում հիմնվում է Հնագիտության և ազգագրության ինստիտուտը, որի ազգագրության բաժնի վարիչ է դառնում Դերենիկ Վարդումյանը՝ պաշտոնավարելով մինչև կյանքի վերջը։ Նա ձեռնամուխ է եղել ազգագրության բաժնի կազմավորմանն ու ասպիրանտական նոր տեղերի ստեղծմանը, նաև Խաչատուր Աբովյանի անվան մանկավարժական ինստիտուտում:
Դերենիկ Վարդումյանը հեղինակ է մի շարք մենագրությունների՝ «Լոռեցիների նոր կենցաղը», «Հայաստանի կոլտնտեսականների ընտանիքը և ընտանեկան կենցաղը» և «Աշխարհի ժողովուրդները» մատենաշարի «Հայեր» բաժնի։ Ունի ավելի քան յոթ տասնյակ տպագիր աշխատություններ տեղական և արտասահմանյան գիտական align=\"left\">Պատրաստ են տպագրության «Հայաստանի գյուղական բնակավայրը և բնակարանը», նույն թեմայով պատմազգագրական ատլասի բաժինը և քարտեզային հիմքերը, «Հայաստանի ազգագրագետների դաշտային հետազոտությունների արդյունքները վերջին երեսնամյակում (1950-1980 թթ.)», «Հայաստանի տնտեսամշակութային տիպերը և պատմազգագրական շրջանները», «Պատմական Հայաստանի և ՀՀ ազգագրական մարզերի բնութագրումն ու քարտեզագրումը» և այլ աշխատություններ։
1992 թվականից Դերենիկ արդումյանը ղեկավարել է «Հայոց տնտեսական զբաղմունքների, նյութական ու հոգևոր մշակույթի, կյանքի ու կենցաղի, սովորույթների ու ավանդույթների գիտական թեման։ Նա հայկական խորհրդային հանրագիտարանի ճյուղային խմբագրության, «Հայ ազգագրություն և բանահյուսություն» մատենաշարի խմբագրական հանձնաժողովի անդամ էր, ավելի քան 500 մամուլ մասնագիտական տպագիր գրականության հիմնադիր։
