This is an original press photo. These big laminated Douglas fir arches are readied for shipment to Reno, Nev., to be used in a gymnasium and chapel structure 144 feet long and 110 feet wide. Each of the four arches on this car is 65 feet long and contains 3560 board feet of 1 by 12-inch lumber. Each member will form half of arch spanning width of building. The arches are the largest ever turned out by the Weyerhaeuser Timber company prefab operation here. The carload is part of 16 arches ordered for the Reno building.Photo measures 9.25 x 7inches. Photo is dated 3-24-1957.
