Thank you for taking the time to check out my listing. I encourage you to read thoroughly so that you do not walk away confused as to what is being offered here and how much you are being asked to pay.

My j.v. sets can be best described as \"FUNCTIONAL ART\". All the pictures that were taken by me, were taken with a nikon coolpix camera,without flash for truecolors(you can tell by the direction of the shadows), and without processing of any kind so there\'s no shenanigans, malicious tactics, dirty tricks, skullduggery, or monkey business...just pure raw images. The rest of the images were downloaded from \"The Internets\" for reference. are offerding on the ultimate Gillette FatBoy \"50s Classic\" Custom Shaving Set. The set includes a One-of-a-Kind CustomMETALLICCANDY APPLE REDandMETALLIC PEARL1958 Fatboy, a matchingCustomRestored Vintage High Mountain White Badger Shaving Brush, a matching Ceramic Shaving Bowl, and matching razor blade dispensers.
Endless care, and hours went into the making of this first set I\'m offering here...and it\'s safe to say that both the Razor, and Brush, are at the pinnacle in their class. These items are not simple restoration projects...but works of art...so consider this my first little art gallery.
The Razor:

This is a D4...1958 (1st year of production, 4th quarter) Gillette Adjustable 195...AKA...FatBoy,painted in a \"50s Classic\"METALLICCANDY APPLE REDandMETALLIC PEARLcolor scheme.
It comes with:

The knot in this brush is a High Mountain White Badger hair Knotfrom the Manchurian badger. The rarest of badger hair from the high mountains of China. The creme de la creme of badger hair. Long white tips, extremely soft natural hair, well packed with extra hair, great backbone Measures Base 20mm Loft 65mm Tuff 22mm.
The main highlight of the high mountain white is its strong back bone and the bristles being able to really cling to the soap to whip up a great face lather. They are considered on the softer side compared to most other knots, but what\'s nice the bristles are not so soft as to become floppy over time. Once the knot is broken in the bristles do soften up quite a bit. Compared to other knots you don\'t usually have the softer bristles with the strong backbone, this one is pretty much the best of both worlds.
The handle has been completely reshaped, by hand...so this design is new and 100% original.
The contours were slowly worked out to achieve maximum comfort while holding it in multiple different ways, and also maximum grip, so it stays in your hand no matter how soapy and lathery things get.
The finish on top (white) is the natural material with multiple protective gloss coats. The clear coat allows for two things...1st, it allows the natural age cracks to show...which have been stained for optimal visibility...and 2nd, the gloss coat seals these cracks and prevents any further travel.
The finish on the base is aMETALLICCANDY APPLE RED, madeto complement the Razor. It iscomposed of a sparkly primer undercoat...followed by multiple coats of red...followed by multiple protective gloss coats.The Bowl:

A perfect size ceramic bowl was paintedMETALLICCANDY APPLE REDandMETALLIC PEARL. The contours of the bowl perfectly complement the contours of the brush. Nothing more to say here...it\'s a bowl!The Blade-Dispensers:

a) A vintage Gillette \"The Spoiler\" 10 blade dispenser was paintedMETALLICCANDY APPLE REDandMETALLIC PEARL. It comes with 10 unused Gillette Super Stainless blades that have been washed in soapy water. The blades are for display purposes only. Use at your own risk. You will need to take the dispenser apart to refill it with new blades.

b) A vintage Gillette 20 blade dispenser was paintedMETALLICCANDY APPLE REDandMETALLIC PEARL. It comes with 13 unused Gillette Blue Bladesthat have been washed in soapy water. These blades are also for display purposes only. Use at your own risk. This dispenser is refillable without the need of taking anything apart.

c) A vintage Gillette 20 blade dispenserwas paintedMETALLICCANDY APPLE REDandMETALLIC PEARL...opposite ofb). It comes with 20 brand new Personna Platinum Chrome blades ready for you to use. This dispenser is also refillable without the need of taking anything apart.You see people throw the word \"stunning\" here when describing just an average, dirty razor. I\'d like to suggest here that this set is more stunning than a stone cold stunner. I myself keep holding these items in my hands...turning them against the light...thinking that these are parts that have fallen off a hot-rod...or have been stolen from the guggenheim.
