This item was purchased from an estate sale so I know very little about it. A local railroad museum curator gave me the following information so please do your homework and ask any questions before offerding. Cast on the top of the bell are the numerals 8004156 and EMD. I do not know if bell is brass or bronze but the finish I would consider very nice. No dents, cracks, scratches or repairs of any kind. Threads are excellent and includes a large chrome washer and nut. The nut has the numerals 1 and 2 on it. The bell is 12\" in diameter at the base and about 6\" across the top. The height is 9\". The base or stand is in excellent condition with no damage of any kind. Striker shaft says \"Graham White\" on one side and \"Salem 508\" on the other side. Striker ball is stamped with \"Double Act G\" on both sides. Please ask any questions before offerding and thanks for looking at my sale!Provenance: The railroad curator told me this bell was probably used in the 1960\'s or early 1970\'s on a Southern Pacific train. The ring of the bell is beautiful.
