1960\'s Vintage Solid Gold Van Cleef & Arpels 18K Gold Make Up Compact 152 Grams:

This gold compact is made by the highly important Paris Jewelry House, Van Cleef & Arpels.
The compact is of rectangular shape with fine basket-weave decoration.
The front of the compact has a lip to pull open the lid. Inside of the lid there is a mirror and the base has a hinged gold framed glass cover, so you can put the powder puff and gauze below.
The mirror is aged and there are a few nicks and dings which could be refurbished but as with all our antiques and vintage items we leave them as they are.
The width of the compact is 2 1/4 inches and the length is 3 inches depth is a little under 1/2 inch.
With the mirror removed with all remaining being solid 18kt gold the weight is 152 grams.
Bezel of Mirror is marked Van Cleef & Arpels NY 21415 and 18k.
