1960s Holiday Kay Banjo w/ Original Case. Five String. Plays. :
$104.95

Travel back intime with this vintagefive-string banjo. Branded \"Holiday,\" it was made by either Harmony or Kay in Chicago,Illinois, back when Chicago was still MusicCity USA, home of Harmony, Kay, Valco, Ludwig, Lyon & Healy, Deagan, Geib,Kluson etcetera. \"Holiday\" was the store brand of the old Aldens department store. Aldens was a mail order and departmentstorechain that folded in about 1980.

It\'s a basic five-string banjo. No resonator. Comes in the original black chipboard case. Cosmetically, it\'s in good, but not perfect, condition, with wear around the edges and whatnot. The fifth-string tuner is a replacement. Neck is appropriately straight. 12th fret action is currently about 4/32\". Bakelite pot with metal rim. I tuned it up to an open G and played some of my originalold time tunes on it like \"Stone in the Sea\" and \"Old Time Girl.\"
